The Nebraskaland Aviation 45Z Strategy Package is a comprehensive climate-smart agriculture (CSA) solution designed to help farmers certify their corn and soybeans as low-carbon feedstocks for the IRS Section 45Z Clean Fuel Production Credit, enabling refiners to achieve lower carbon intensity (CI) scores for biofuels, such as ethanol and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

Our holistic program integrates our proprietary Nebraskaland Nutritionals products, a revolutionary private-label nitrogen stabilizer (name pending), and the Nebraskaland CleanFuel Cover program (multi-species cover crops) to streamline CSA adoption. Nebraskaland Aviation assists farmers by simplifying sustainable and regenerative CSA practices, certifying crops as 45Z-eligible low-CI feedstocks, and enhancing farm productivity through improved yields and reduced input needs.

For refiners, we facilitate access to verified low-CI feedstocks through partnerships with farmers and grain merchandisers, optimizing credit claims and strengthening sustainability initiatives. Farmers with grain in storage may have unrecognized value in their crops that could qualify for 45Z credits—contact Nebraskaland Aviation if you plan to sell corn to merchandisers, refiners, or other end users to explore this opportunity.

Grow smarter. Sustain longer.

When you partner with Nebraskaland Aviation on our 45Z Strategy Package, your crops gain enhanced value through verified climate-smart practices that certify them as low-carbon feedstocks while fostering sustainable and regenerative soil health for lasting environmental benefits.

This certification can increase demand and open market opportunities for your grain when sold to merchandisers, refiners, or other end users, aligning with clean fuel production incentives. Our new fertilizer formulation facility, currently under construction at the Iron Horse Business & Industry Park in Holdrege, Nebraska, is being built to empower farmers with innovative, custom-designed products unavailable elsewhere.

This state-of-the-art, nearly 40,000-square-foot facility will enable tailored solutions based on each farm’s unique soil, crop, and sustainability needs, helping growers optimize operations, reduce environmental impact, and fully succeed in the 45Z program through regenerative practices that foster long-term soil vitality and clean fuel alignment.

How Nebraskaland Aviation Certifies Your Corn for 45Z Credits.

Our 45Z Strategy Package equips farmers to certify their corn and soybeans as low-CI feedstocks, helping refiners lower their CI scores:

Adopt CSA Practices with Our Program:

Our integrated program combines advanced nutritional products, a revolutionary private-label nitrogen stabilizer, a tailored nutrient management guide, and a clean fuel-focused cover crop strategy. These align with USDA-recognized sustainable and regenerative CSA practices, such as enhanced- efficiency fertilizers (EEFs), nutrient management, and cover cropping, reducing feedstock emissions through optimized nutrient management, soil carbon sequestration, and minimized nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions.

Certification Support:

Nebraskaland Aviation guides farmers through verification, partnering with ISO 14065-accredited third-party verifiers to audit farm records, soil/tissue tests, and application logs. We provide affidavits and attestations to certify your crops as low-CI feedstocks, including stored grain that may qualify based on past CSA practices. We collaborate with grain merchandisers, refiners, and other end users to establish chain-of-custody tracking, ensuring verified crops contribute to 45Z claims and reduced fuel CI. If you have corn in storage and plan to sell to merchandisers, refiners, or other end users, contact us to assess its potential 45Z eligibility.

Refiner Benefits:

Refiners accessing certified low-CI corn through our partnerships with farmers and merchandisers can lower the cultivation emissions factor in their fuel lifecycle CI, enhancing 45Z credit eligibility and supporting competitive clean fuel production.

How Nebraskaland Aviation Facilitates Collaboration in 45Z

Nebraskaland Aviation acts as a neutral certifying partner, fostering collaboration among farmers, grain merchandisers, refiners, and other end users to unlock 45Z opportunities without engaging in grain merchandising ourselves. We help farmers implement and verify sustainable and regenerative CSA practices through our program, generating certified low-CI crops.

Grain merchandisers can aggregate and track these verified feedstocks, ensuring seamless delivery to refiners or end users with chain-of-custody documentation and attestations. Refiners and end users benefit from a reliable supply of low-emission corn/soybeans, lowering their fuel CI scores and maximizing credit claims.

By coordinating audits, affidavits, attestations, and connections across the supply chain, we enable collaborative participation that boosts sustainability and economic value for all parties involved.

How Farmers Can Participate

Nebraskaland Aviation supports farmers with tools and guidance to seamlessly integrate sustainable and regenerative CSA practices:

Implement the Program:

Adopt our comprehensive 45Z Strategy Package, which applies advanced nutrient solutions, a tailored nutrient management guide, and cover crop strategies across key growth stages—pre-plant, planting, sidedress, and post-emergence—to optimize crop performance and sustainability. Incorporate cover crops through fall, spring, or late-season aerial seeding to enhance soil health and carbon capture.

Verify and Attest:

We assist with documentation and work with accredited verifiers to confirm practices via logs and tests, providing affidavits and attestations for CSA certification. Stored grain may also qualify if produced with CSA practices—contact us to evaluate eligibility.

Market Low-CI Crops:

Sell certified corn/soybeans (including from storage) to grain merchandisers, refiners, or other end users via contracts or tracking systems with attestations, enabling their 45Z claims. Certified crops can attract higher demand, with economic benefits varying by farm and market conditions.

Support Tools:

Benefit from our expertise, USDA pilot programs, and tools like the Feedstock Carbon Intensity Calculator (FD-CIC) to quantify emissions reductions and streamline certification.

How Refiners Can Participate

Nebraskaland Aviation helps refiners maximize 45Z benefits with certified low-CI feedstocks:

Register and Calculate:

Register with the IRS using Form 637 by March 1, 2025, and annually thereafter. Use the 45ZCF-GREET model to calculate fuel CI, incorporating our certified low-emission feedstocks sourced through farmers and merchandisers. Petition DOE for provisional emissions rates if needed.

Source Certified Feedstocks:

Partner with us to access verified corn/soybeans through grain merchandisers or direct contracts with farmers, backed by chain-of-custody documentation and attestations, to lower cultivation emissions and enhance credit eligibility.

Claim and Monetize:

File Form 8864 quarterly to claim credits, which are transferable under Section 6418 for added revenue. Our certified crops optimize credit potential.

Environmental Impacts

The Nebraskaland Aviation 45Z Strategy Package promotes a healthier planet through sustainable and regenerative farming:

Reduced GHG Emissions:

CSA practices cut feedstock emissions, reducing N2O (a potent GHG) and supporting significant CO2e savings in biofuel production.
